DDTV: Stunning video captures Northern Lights over Mountcharles

Photographer Noel Keating captured the stunning Northern Lights dancing over St. Peter’s Lake during the week.

Unfortunately due to the cloud cover we often miss the Aurora, however Noel caught a break in the clouds and set up his camera.

Noel says; “What a night this was, cloud finally decided to give us a break for once, all we had to do is wait for the Aurora to show, and with a very faith glow low on the horizon I knew it was only a matter of time. Love how the lake became calm just as the show kicked off giving some reflections on the lake.”

“I am always looking out for strange events in the sky and once you learn about how much stuff there is up there it’s a full time job trying to capture them, from Thunderstorms, Aurora’s, Noctilucent clouds… the list is endless.. I don’t do it for money, it’s a complete passion of mine and I have been doing it for years… people don’t realize how many amazing things happen right above our heads here in Donegal.”

To keep up with Noel’s work you can follow him on Facebook.
