The Ryans are still ‘hanging tough’ in Ireland’s Fittest Family!

Donegal’s Ryan family are still hanging tough in RTE’s Ireland’s Fittest Family.

The Letterkenny family were up against three other families in the popular television show tonight and managed to qualify – but only just.

Dad Danny and his family members Keane, Jordan and Alannah were forced into the eliminator after coming last in the first two challenges.

They didn’t get off to the greatest of starts when they managed to hang collectively for just 5 minutes and 23 seconds in the Hanging Tough challenge above Dublin’s River Liffey and came in at the rear of the field.

Next up was the Crane Drain challenge.

Both Keane and Danny were chosen for this challenge to face their opposing three families.

But again Team Ryan couldn’t find their mojo and brought up the year once more.

Their performances in the first two challenges meant they faced the Moritz Family in the eliminator.

But as Danny himself said “We’re here for the challenge.”

Mentor and former rugby star Alan Quinlan told told Danny before he started “Make a statement.”

And make a statement they did as they pushed over the tough obstacle course to brush the Moritz family aside.

In the end it was dad Danny who pulled his two sons up the ramp to safety.

They had us on the edge of our seats but the Ryans live to fight another day.

Go Team Ryan!
