Donegal’s Ryan Family are in the semi-final of Ireland’s Fittest Family.
The popular Letterkenny clan came up against the fancied Broadhurst and McCarthy families on the popular RTE television show tonight.
But former boxer Danny Ryan and his children weren’t found wanting.
Former Irish rugby star and the Ryan family coach Alan Quinlan told his team “We just have to give it everything”
And they certainly did.
The Ryans got off to the perfect start when they won the tyre pull with a tactical race which put them out in front.
Then it was Alannah Ryan’s turn to shine in the female-nominated race.
Despite a heroic performance Alannah finished third sending the Ryans into the ‘Mayhem Eliminator’ against the Broadhurst family.
With just the men chosen to compete this race, the Ryans built up a strong lead across a range of obstacles.
Again it was dad Danny who powered his two sons Jordan and Keane to victory and into the semi-final.
