A Donegal child stole the show tonight on The Late Late Toy Show.

Adorable Alex Nicholas from Bundoran told presenter Ryan Tubridy about his fairy friends – Sunflower, Sam and Robin – who write to him.

“One day Sam, when I got my room painted, wrote to me thanking me for painting the room,” Alex said.

Alex also explained how he gets rid of his worries.

He said: “If I think of a worry – I’d be worried if I had a nightmare – I put my hand down. If it goes red, the fairies hear it, if it goes green my worry is gone.”

"If it goes green, my worries are gone." How adorable was Alex Nicholas from Ballyshannon, Donegal? #LateLateToyShow https://t.co/9LZFNFkUkx
