This week’s lotto jackpot of €550 was won by Katie Gibbons, Malin Head. The seller’s prize went to Stephen Farren.

The numbers drawn were 7-3-1-5-4-2-6. Next week’s jackpot is €500. Last week’s lotto was not won, Mary Houten won the €50 with the numbers drawn 4-2-7-6-3-1-5.

The club are taking all the lotto sellers to the Bowling Alley on Saturday the 17th of December for a day out to thank them for their hard work all year.

The club would also like to thank all of the parents who help transport the sellers around the parish every week. Finally we would like to thank all of the local community who keep supporting our weekly lotto.

Anyone with Underage Christmas tickets are asked to leave them back with their managers as soon as they can or they can leave them in McClean’s shop for the attention of Maria McLaughlin on or before Friday the 16th of December. The draw will take place on Sunday the 19th of December.

Our Grupai Cheoil and dancers participated in the Scor County final last Sunday and although they didn’t win, they performed and represented the club very well. The club would like to thank our Scor team and also Roisin McGrory and Janet Coyle.

This year’s AGM will take place on Friday the 9th of December in the clubhouse at 7:30pm. All motions to be with secretary in writing to Elaine McColgan, Strand Head, Malin or by e-mail Secretary.malin.donegal@gaa.ie by Tuesday the 6th of December.

The minor board AGM was held last week with the make-up of the committee largely the same as last year with Danny Lafferty as Secretary and Seamus McLaughlin as Chairperson. Accounts were given of each team and it was a largely successful year at underage with nearly all teams reaching finals and the latter stages of their respective competitions. All teams are getting plenty of matches and training, helping to learn the skills of the game which will hopefully come through to senior football in the near future.

All coaches deserve great credit for giving up their time every week with all age ranges and an appeal was made by the secretary and chair for more assistance for coaches.

We would ask that all club members and parents take a more active role in the club as it really does take a massive effort to keep our underage structures in place. If anyone is interested in helping out next year please make themselves known to any club member and we look forward to another successful season in 2017.

The club are featured on a Wild Atlantic Way calendar which contains many spectacular pictures along the route. The club are selling these priced at €10 from the club shop or any committee member. This would make a lovely present to send to friends or relatives who may be living abroad. Contact John Byrne for further details on 0862507380.

The night out for all club coaches will be on the 10th of December meeting in Malin at 6pm.
