Daniel O’Donnell has revealed he won’t be home in Donegal for Christmas for the first time ever.

The singer normally jets back to Ireland and heads straight to his home in Kincasslagh where he usually sings at midnight mass.

Instead Daniel, 54, will spend Christmas in the heart of the Canary Islands.

“This year, for the first time ever, we have decided to spend Christmas in Tenerife. It will be my first time away from Ireland at Christmas. I’m sure I will miss the opportunity to sing at mass in Kincasslagh.

“Not sure how there turkey will taste in the heat though,” he said.
