Our under-16’s were our star performers this week when they won 1-0 away to Swilly Rovers in the Champions League semi-final.
Jack Parke scored the goal in a great all round team performance. They now face Kilmacrennan Celtic in the final on Saturday. Venue and time will be on our Facebook page.
Our mens team drew 2-2 with Drumoghill FC in another keenly fought derby. We led 2-0 at halftime with goals from Micheál Doherty and Kenny Doran but Drumoghill showed their resilience to fight back for a draw with goals from Liam and Chris O’Donnell.
Our under-12B’s traveled to Raphoe where they took part in a top four cup. They beat Cappry Colts on penalties after a 1-1 draw, with Alex Parke saving three penalties. In the final they lost 2-1 to Raphoe Town in a well contested encounter. Matthew Peoples scored both goals. Thanks to Raphoe for their hospitality on an enjoyable morning of football.
In our weekly lotto the numbers drawn were 1,5,8 and 12. Three people had three numbers, with Tommy Hamlyn drawn out and winning €50. Next week’s jackpot is €7450. The club extends sympathy to the Houston and Burke families on their recent bereavements.
