Freedom Spinal Health’s first annual Christmas Toy Appeal was a resounding success with staff “blown away by the generosity” of donors.
More than 50 toys were handed over by patients and members of the public for the ‘Toy per Click’ appeal, with all donations going directly to the local St Vincent de Paul’s Christmas campaign.
The ‘toy appeal with a twist . . . and a crack’ called on new and existing clients to book appointments as normal but instead of paying for sessions to simply donate new toys with similar values to the treatments received.
Members of the public were also invited to donate toys as part of the charity event hosted at the clinic in Glenview Retail Park last Friday.
Chiropractor and Freedom Spinal Health Practice Owner, Anthony Lavin, said our first ‘Toy per Click’ appeal went brilliantly with 50 very generous donations. Some of the donations were from people who aren’t even clients but wanted to donate something to the worthy cause.
“We were blown away by people’s generosity, as were St Vincent de Paul. When Sharon from St Vincent de Paul arrived in her car to collect all the items but had to phone for a van to come simply due to the large volume of toys.
“We’d like to thank everyone who donated to this worthy cause as the toys collected will undoubtedly make a positive difference to families across Donegal who may be finding it difficult this Christmas.”
