One person has died in a two-car collision on the Burnfoot to Buncrana road.
A 25-year-old woman lost her life. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 24-year-old man who was driving the other car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Gardai said the woman was driving an English-registered car. The man was reported to be in an Irish-registered car travelling from the Letterkenny direction.
There were no passengers in the vehicles.
The incident occurred at Fahan, where the road remains closed.
