Free Suicide Intervention course to take place in Letterkenny

The Doorway Project is a community organisation managed by a voluntary committee based in Letterkenny, mainly working in training and education for people of all ages, youth, and childcare.

The Doorway Project Education Centre will be hosting ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training); a free two-day skill building workshop in suicide first-aid.

During the two-day interactive session, participants learn to intervene and help prevent the immediate risk of suicide.

ASIST was developed in 1983 and has been taken by over 1,000,000 people worldwide.

It will take place at the Doorway Project at No. 6 Meadowbank, Letterkenny on Tuesday 18th January and Wednesday 19th January from 9.30am – 5pm.
