Donegal company announce major plans to build two fishing vessels

A well-known Donegal boat-building firm has revealed it is to undertake a multi-million euro project for two boats.

Mooney Boats Ltd in Killybegs said it is delighted to announce that they have signed on to build not one, but two brand new Irish fishing vessels.

First up is the 23.99m MFV Stella Nova, a Prawn Trawler which is due for delivery later this year and second is the MFV Fiona K III which is a 27.4 meter Trawler thats due for delivery in summer 2018

A spokesman for the company announced the news on their Facebook Page.

It said “We genuinely feel proud to bring projects like these to Killybegs, where the experience and knowledge in marine engineering are second to none, and are looking forward to exciting times ahead!”
