Donegal Oil Company was established, over 63 years ago by Arthur E. McMahon. Arthur was involved in the motor trade industry and was the founder of McMahon Bros who had garages based in Milford and in Letterkenny.
Arthur E. McMahon’s vision and forward thinking in 1954 was to establish the first oil company in the county. When they opened their head office and distribution centre in Letterkenny and a depot in Killybegs, they were so far ahead of the times.
They began selling gasoline & lubricating oils to the motor industry, the farming industry and to the fishing industry.

Supplying Commercial Fuel for trucks, buses, plants & machinery, Retail Fuel for service stations across Donegal, Agricultural Oil & Tractor Diesel, Marine Oil for the Marine Fuel market with a 24/7 service available from their depot in Killybegs, and Lubricant Oils for any type of machinery.
Currently employing more than 100 staff, they are trusted by thousands of customers in Donegal to deliver Topaz quality guaranteed fuel and home heating oil at competitive prices and they provide an excellent customer and delivery service to the Domestic, Agricultural, Retail, Commercial & Marine Industries.
With strategically located depots at Letterkenny, Killybegs and Falcarragh they deliver almost everywhere in County Donegal. Just this month they officially launched their Corporate Social Responsibility Platform “ Team Donegal Oil” which was the brainchild of current Managing Director Arthur McMahon.
Arthur’s vision is to promote & develop a culture of Health & Well-Being throughout the local community in County Donegal by encouraging individuals to “Have a Go” at Outdoor Activities. This unique iniatiative will also partner with charities looking for a platform to increase awareness or raise funds.
