A hugely popular seafood bar and restaurant will go on the market after 12 years under the ownership of Enda O Rourke.

It was announced that The Village Tavern in Mountcharles will be put up for sale as a going concern.

Mr O’Rouke posted a heartfelt message to his customers to announce the sale. He expressed his gratitude for their loyalty and support over the years and reminded customers that the restaurant will remain in business.

Mr O’Rourke said: “After just short of twelve years I’ve decided that the time is right for me to put The Village Tavern for sale as a going concern. I’d like to put on record my thanks for all your support throughout the years and look forward to your continued support.

“Business continues as usual and we look forward to catering for the many many confirmations, communions, after wedding parties & birthday parties we have booked in the coming months.”

Loyal customers of the restaurant on Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way have been paying tribute to Enda and wishing him the best of luck his new journey.
