There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €950. The numbers drawn were 4-6-5-1-7-3-2. The €50 winner went to Evan McLaughlin, Umgall, Malin Head with the sellers prize going to Daniel McLaughlin. Next week’s jackpot is €1000.
Underage
Malin Minors had their first run out of the season in a friendly away to Dungiven.
They had a rusty start and were under heavy pressure in the first half, Pauric O’Donnell’s heroics in goal and three late first half points kept Malin clinging on, eight points down, to the sharper running Dungiven side, who, in truth could have had more. The team put in a much stronger determined second half showing and only for some wayward shooting throughout and in the end, a two points margin proved a step too far.
The impressive Pauric O’Donnell in goals and Oisin McGonagle’s strong running, who finishing the game with 2-2, were the pick of the bunch for Malin while Ciaran Doherty(jr), Sean Byrne, Sean O’Neill and late call up for young Ronan Kelly(tam) all featured strongly.
They had a good all round hard working team effort in the end and a lot players showed very well and hopefully these boys can keep going now. A speedy recovery to Connor Bambrick who was carried off during the game, hopefully back in action soon!

The Under 6 fundamentals sessions are held every Sunday at 10:00-11:15am.
The Under 8’s Boys training sessions are held every Saturday at 3:00-4:15pm
The Under 10’s Boys training sessions are held every Sunday at 11:30-12:45pm
The Under 12’s Boys training sessions are held every Friday at 6:15-7:30pm
The Under 14’s Girls training sessions are held every Wednesday at 5:15-6:15pm
The Under 10, 8 and 6 Girls training sessions are held every Saturday at 11:00am-12:00pm

Know Your Parish Quiz
Our Know Your Parish Quiz will take place on Saturday 25th February from 8.30pm in our Clubhouse. This is where Parish’s town-lands pit themselves against each other in a bid to win the coveted crown of the Parish’s smartest townland. It’s never too early to get your team organised. Teams of 4, with €5 entry per person. It’s always a great night of controversy, competition and fun. Please note the Committee’s answers are always right.
Stars in their Eyes
The club’s fundraising committee are delighted to announce that Malin Gaa will be hosting a Stars in their Eyes in the Malin Hotel on Easter Sunday 16th April, all in aid of our Minor Board. Please keep the date free and keep an eye on our Facebook for more details as they become available.

Rising Stars Music Academy
The ‘Rising Stars Music Academy’ will start on Saturday the 28th of January. For more information contact Annah Lafferty on 0866680565. The times for each session are 12:15-1:00pm for the 5-10 age group and 1:00-1:45pm for the 11-16 age group. Classes will be €5.

Fitness Classes:
Are you giving up something over the Lenten season? Why not take up something instead. 40 Days to Fitness starts on Monday the 27th February and runs until Friday 7th of April in the Get Fit Gym at Malin GAA Clubhouse.
Classes run daily. Monday, Wednesday & Friday classes @9:30am, Ladies @6:30pm, Spin @7:30pm and Spin 8:30pm. Tuesday & Thursday classes @6:30am and Men @8pm. Unlimited classes €50 for gym members €60 for Malin GAA members and for non gym members €70 or €5 per class. Booking essential for Spin classes as bikes are limited.
