Voodoo Venue, beat off some stiff competition at the IMRO Awards in Dublin, to win ‘Best Live Music Venue’, in Ulster, for the third time.

Voodoo previously won this award in 2012 and 2015.

”It is a huge honour to receive this award, once again. It is a credit to Philip Ward, General Manager and Hugh Brogan, Voodoo Lounge Manager, who liaise, organise and host all our bands, during the year,” a Voodoo spokesperson said.

“It is Hugh’s, first year, in his role, as Lounge Manager and we are delighted that he and his team have achieved so much.  This is the incentive that makes all the hard work worth while.

On behalf of Jason and Sharon Black, Philip Ward, General Manager and all the management and staff at Voodoo, we would like to sincerely thank, our amazing customers, firstly for your returning custom to Voodoo and secondly for voting for us, in this prestigious national award. We could not do it without you.”
