Buncrana traffic corps detected a driver traveling at 113 kmph in an 80 kmph zone over the weekend.

Conditions on the evening were dangerous due to heavy hail showers and a greasy road surface.

The driver recieved a fixed charge penalty notice and three points.

Two other drivers were detected using their mobile phones while driving.

Gardaí have reminded people to be #PhoneSMART,

S: Switch it off
M: Make a journey
