Has Daniel booked into his last bed and breakfast?

Daniel and Majella O’Donnell admitted they may have reached the end of the journey with their hit show B&B Road Trip.

The Donegal crooner and his singer wife are set to return with a second season of their IFTA winning series next week on RTE, almost a year and a half since it debuted on UTV Ireland.

While Daniel & Majella’s B&B Road Trip proved to be a ratings winner for the ill-fated channel, the showbiz couple believe their second series will probably be their last.

Daniel said: “I’m not convinced there will be any more series. I don’t see that there will be another series but who knows…”

Majella added that she’s not sure there are enough “characters” in B&Bs around the country to keep entertaining.

“I don’t think there will be a third series because we feel that there are only so many B&Bs in the country that are willing to apply for it and do it,” Majella said.

“You need a personality at the B&B also, because it’s not just about what the B&B is like, it’s an entertainment show, so if you don’t have a character it wouldn’t work; so we’ve probably exhausted it, if you like.

“We’ve done so many so you’re better off going out on a high. But you never know, there might be something else in the pipeline that myself and Daniel could do together as ourselves.”
