Game on: Kingspan Breffni Park passes pitch inspection for Cavan-Donegal game

Kingspan Breffni Park has passed a lunchtime pitch inspection and given the green light to play host to the Cavan-Donegal game this evening.

The counties meet in the latest round of fixtures in the Allianz League Division 1.

Heavy rainfall in the last few days meant that the Cavan town venue had to undergo an inspection, but officials have passed it as playable.

Donegal manager Rory Gallagher has recalled Darach O’Connor and Patrick McBrearty to his starting XV as Donegal look to build on their draw with Dublin on Sunday.

O’Connor is in for his first start since the 2014 All-Ireland final, the Buncrana man subsequently suffering a cruciate injury, while McBrearty sat out Sunday’s game due to a quad injury sustained in the win over Roscommon.
