Paddy McCourt will make his first Finn Harps start tonight as Ollie Horgan’s side host Galway United at Finn Park.

After making substitute appearances against Cork City and Bray Wanderers, the 33-year-old former Celtic winger – signed on the eve of the new season – has been elevated to the starting eleven.

McCourt most recently played with Glenavon in the Irish League and had trained with League of Ireland champions Dundalk before signing for Harps.

In what is already an early-season six-pointer in Ballybofey, Eddie Dsane is also included in the first XI for the first time, while Packie Mailey makes a first start of 2017 with Damien McNulty, Michael Funston and Jonny Bonner making way.
