A well-known Glenswilly girl has been picked as the Donegal Rose of Tralee.

Amy Callaghan was the popular winner of the pageant which was held last night.

She is the daughter of Seimi and Geraldine Callaghan.

Dad Seimi couldn’t hide his delighted and posted a lovely message on Facebook which read “The proudest dad in Donegal, so happy for my first-born. Well done Amy.”

Amy represented the Century Complex at last night’s gala event which is co-sponsored by McCullagh’s Jewellers and Clanree Hotels.

“We are so proud and delighted and for you. Thank you for representing Century Complex and being such a beautiful person,” said a spokesman for Century Complex.
