Watch: Jonny Bonner’s brilliant strike as Finn Harps defeat Cockhill Celtic

Jonny Bonner’s Finn Harps goals were like that old tale about the bus – you wait for an age for one and then two come along at the one time.

Bonner (pictured by Anthony McGlynn) didn’t score at all in his first 32 games for Finn Harps.

He’s now back in his second stint at Finn Park and netted twice on Monday night in the 3-1 win over Cockhill Celtic in the EA Sports Cup.

Bonner broke the deadlock with a penalty for his first Harps goal and, after Derek Doherty leveled for Cockhill, Bonner conjured up a piece of magic in the 76th minute.

Bonner’s stunning strike was captured by the Harps video team.

Harps will face Sligo Rovers on Easter Monday, April 17, at 8pm in the second round of the competition.
