Delight as Turbo the peacock makes it home after Letterkenny adventure

Turbo the peacock went missing in Letterkenny yesterday morning, and after numerous sightings and a lot of chasing, he’s finally back at home with his owner.

The elusive peacock was found yesterday morning on the Port road, however he escaped before his owner, Brigette Cavanagh could collect him.

Donegal Daily renewed the appeal for Turbo after he evaded the man who found him, and sightings of Turbo poured into Donegal Daily’s Facebook page.

Today Brigette got the lead she was looking for when two people reported a sighting of Turbo in Sister Sara’s carpark – and soon, he was reunited with his owner.

Brigette says; “We are over the moon! We were up all night, he was at KFC but kept flying away.

“The whole family are delighted, we’re so happy.

“Turbo by name, turbo by nature!”

Turbo covered most of Letterkenny on his adventure, but thankfully he is back at home with his family safe and sound (albiet a little bit hungry).

A big thank you to all who shared the appeal and kept an eye out for this much loved pet over the weekend.
