The GAA has confirmed the times and venues for the Donegal Under-17 and Minor teams’ finals on Saturday.

Sean Paul Barrett’s minors, who defeated Down on Saturday, will face Armagh at 12noon in Garvaghey in the Ulster Minor Football League Shield final. James Lewis of Fermanagh will referee.

Aaron Doherty kicked 2-5 on Saturday as Donegal defeated Down 2-12 to 2-9.

Francie Friel’s Under-17s will meet Tyrone in the Jim McGuigan Cup final. The sides cross swords at 1.30pm in Maghera. Kevin Faloon of Armagh is pencilled in to referee that one.

Donegal defeated Down 0-9 to 1-5 in Ballybofey on Saturday to book their place in the final.

Also on Saturday, Ardal McDermott’s Donegal senior hurling team begin their Nicky Rackard Cup campaign. Donegal host Armagh at 1pm in O’Donnell Park as they start out on a journey they hope will end in Croke Park.

Meanwhile, the Donegal senior ladies will meet Galway on Sunday in a Lidl Ladies NFL Division 1 semi-final. That game will take place at Markievicz Park in Sligo at 2pm.
