Councillor Sean Mc Eniff to be laid to rest on Monday

Councillor Sean Mc Eniff, of Church road Bundoran, passed away yesterday evening at the Mater Private Hospital in Dublin.

His remains will be reposing at his home, with the removal taking place on Monday at 11:30am going to Star of the Sea Church for a requiem mass at 12.

The burial will take place afterwards at St Ninnidh’s cemetery.

The wake will take place between 2pm and 10pm today, and between 12pm and 9pm tomorrow (Sunday).

House private on Monday morning please.

Family flowers only, however donations can be made in lieu of Ben Bulben COPD care of any family member.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Sean Mc Eniff was Ireland’s longest serving councillor, having been first elected in 1967.

He was named Donegal Person of the Year in 1996 and is the former Director of Bord Failte.

Condolences have been extended to McEniff’s family, with tributes being paid to McEniff from Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin and Matt Mc Nulty, the Former Director General of Bord Failte.
