Harps U19 suffer first defeat of the season after clash with Sligo Rovers

The Finn Harps U19s side suffered their first defeat of the new season going down 4-2 to Sligo Rovers in Killygordon.

Due to injuries to players like B.J. Banda, Harps were not at full strength and suffered an early setback when the visitors went one up.

Gareth Doherty with his fifth goal of the campaign equalized for Joe Boyle’s side. However, Sligo were back in front before the break.

And two goals midway through the second half effectively ended the hosts’ hopes of extending their unbeaten start to the season to four games. Corey Lee Bogan did grab a consolation goal for Harps.
