Businessman and veteran politician Sean McEniff will be buried in his native Bundoran today.

A large crowd is expected for the funeral of the Fianna Fail stalwart and hotelier who passed away on Friday aged 81.

He had been ill for a number of months having suffered an accident while on holiday abroad.

Figures from the political and business world are expected at today’s funeral mass in the Star of the Sea Church at 12 noon.

He is survived by his wife Eilis, sons John, Terry, Gabriel, Brian, Conor and Fergal and daughters Siobhan and Elizabeth, grandchildren, in-laws and a wide circle of family and friends.

Hundreds of people attended Mr McEniff’s wake at his home in the seaside town over the weekend.
