Letterkenny photographer encountered more than a little coincidence over the Easter weekend.

When Jennie Boyd, living in Dublin, booked Letterkenny photographer Fergal Megannety for her wedding photography in Donegal she was in for a little surprise.

When Jennie told her parents, Lesley and David Boyd that she had booked Fergal Megannety they told her that he had also photographed their wedding – 39 years ago!

David Boyd from Bunbeg married Lesley in Greystones Co. Wicklow in 1979, Fergal was living there before he moved to Lettkenny in 1981.

On Easter Monday Fergal photographed the wedding of Roisin Boyle in Kinncasslagh, Fergal had photographed Roisin’s parents Helena and Kevin Boyle who live in Sutton Coldfield, were also married there twenty seven years ago.

There were two more coincidences on the day!

Kevin Boyle’s sister Pauline Boyle who runs the Serenity Salon at An Chuirt, did the make up for the Saturday wedding and both wedding receptions were held at An Chuirt Hotel in Gweedore.
