Raphoe siblings Chloe and Sam Magee made a superb start to the 2017 European Championships today in Denmark.

The Magees defeated former world number 12 pair Jacco Arends and Selena Piek from the Netherlands.

The Magees won in straight sets 21-17 23-21 in their mixed doubles match in Kolding.

This evening, Rachael Darragh, the Magees’ niece, faces Flore Vandenhoucke from Belgium in the womens’ singles.

Tomorrow, Darragh teams up with Sarah Boyle to take on Jenny Nystrom and Sonja Pekkola in the womens’ doubles while Sam and Joshua Magee pair off to take on Zvonimir Durkinjak and Zvonimir Hoelbling in the mens’ doubles.
