Hurling – Donegal minors too strong for Monaghan

DONEGAL 6-25 v 1-03 MONAGHAN

The scoreline says it all as holders Donegal overpowered visitors Monaghan to set up a repeat of last year’s Final against Tyrone next week.

The home side dominated from start to finish, racing to a 2-08 to 0-00 lead in the first quarter and extended it to 3-15 to 0-00 by half-time. Jordan Barr, and Aaron Craig with two got the goals.

Donegal then added three more goals at the beginning of the second-Half, Craig completed his hat-trick with Dylan Duffy and Sub Kieran Brady getting the others.

Stephen Anderson was impressive for play and frees.

Donegal can expect a tougher test in the Final from Tyrone next weekend but on this form will be favourites to retain their Ulster Shield title.
