KARL LACEY was an absentee this afternoon for Four Masters in their Donegal SFC loss against St Eunan’s with a calf injury.

The Letterkenny side were 1-21 to 0-8 winners in Donegal town with 2012 GAA/GPA Footballer of the Year Lacey forced to watch on due to a calf muscle strain.

However, Donegal manager Rory Gallagher this evening confirmed that he expects the 32-year-old defender to be available for the Ulster SFC quarter-final against Antrim on Sunday, May 21.

“Karl has a minor muscle injury,” Gallagher said. “He just felt it tighten on Friday night and we didn’t want to risk it. He’ll be back in full training this week.”
