Listen: Diarmuid O’Brien says Inishowen focus is good ahead of Oscar Traynor final

The Inishowen League go in search of their second Oscar Traynor Trophy win tomorrow when they host Clare in the final at Maginn Park (12 noon).

Inishowen were winners of the competition in 2015 and lost out in a semi-final last season. Dairmuid O’Brien’s team are in the final for a third time and bidding to win the prize for the second time.

“The focus is good,” O’Brien said ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with the Oscar Traynor holders, Clare.

“They’re well focussed on the job at hand. If they play well and put in a good performance they’ll be in with a chance. Hopefully we’ll have our game in tip-top shape.

“It’s two of the most consistent teams in the final.

“It’ll be a tight tactical battle as well as a tight physical battle.

“When we’re good we’re very good, but there have been periods when we haven’t been good. We need a quality performance over 90 minutes and we can’t play in fits and starts for this one.”

Inishowen defeated Limerick on penalties at Maginn in the semi-final while Clare overcame Wexford. I
