MacCumhaills were dealt a further blow in the 24th minute when Gary Dunnion was red carded for a foul on Denis Boyle.

The home team managed to add further points from Boyle and Mark Harley to keep them ahead by 2 points at the half time whistle, 0-7 to 1-2.

With MacCumhaills reduced to 14 men for the second half it turned into a one-sided affair.

Sweeney, Mulhern, Ciaran McGeady, Aidan Doohan, Jason McGee and Boyle all added further points.

O’Leary managed to secure MacCumhaills’ first second half score with a free in the 51st minute and quickly followed this with a point from play.

Gary Wilson added a further point, but Cloughaneely substitute John McGarvey made his contribution with a point in the 58th which was quickly cancelled out by an O’Leary free.
