A motorist who stopped to assist a driver involved in a crash in Bridgend, was threatened with a knife and had his car hijacked.

At around 11.15 pm on Friday night, May 26 the good Samaritan stopped to check if the driver of a silver VW Passat was okay only to have his black VW Golf hijacked by the driver of the Passat.

Garda Superintendent Eugene McGovern said they were eager to speak to anyone in the vicinity who saw this heartless crime taking place.
