Donegal sides learn their fate after WFAI Intermediate Cup and Shield draws

The WFAI have confirmed the draws for the next rounds of the Intermediate Cup and Intermediate Shield.

North West Women’s Super League leaders Illies Celtic – who have had a superb start to the 2017 campaign – have been drawn at home to Lagan Harps in the next round of the WFAI Umbro Women’s Intermediate Cup.

Illies (pictured) got a bye through the previous round while Lagan had to negotiate a penalty shoot-out against Bonagee United in their last round.

Bríd McGinty’s team got over Bonagee in a dramatic shoot-out following a 0-0 draw at Orchard Park.

Bonagee were semi-finalists in the Intermediate Shield last season and the Louise Gordon-managed side have been handed an away tie against Corrib Celtic in Galway.

The ties have to be played by Sunday, June 18.
