The competition last weekend was an Open Teams of 4 Scramble sponsored by the Drift Inn Bar & Restaurant Buncrana.
The best score of the weekend was a tremendous 53 pts returned by the team of Ciaran McLaughlin (11), Alan Fletcher (14), Brendan Porter (18) & Jim Fletcher (23).
In second place with 52 pts was Stephen McHugh (3), Benny Murphy (9), Barry Dillon (15) & John Bonner (17) and Best day went to Shane O’Brien (12), Manus Harley (13), Garry Doherty (14) & Anthony McFadden (15).
The competition this weekend Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June will be the James Hegarty Memorial Open Stableford sponsored by Hegarty’s Buncrana.
There is a timesheet in operation and contacting the clubhouse @ 0749362279 can confirm a tee time.
The Meal Deal will continue for the summer months every Thursday and the format will be an 18 hole open stableford competition.
The entry fee will be €15.00 for members and €20.00 for a visitor which includes entry to the competition and a two course meal in the award winning Drift Inn Restaurant after the golf.
The draw and dates for the Workshop Coffee Co. club singles match play is now posted on the club notice board and first round matches have to be played on or before Friday 23rd June without exception.
The juvenile lessons have commenced on Wednesday’s from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and they are for boys and girls. The lessons will be carried out in different categories i.e. under 10 years of age, 10-12 year olds and over 12 years of age.
The cost of the lessons will be €5 and will be carried out by PGA Professional Derek Morrison. The” Find the Joker” has a Jackpot of €525.00, lines only cost €2 each and this draw is open to members and non-members alike.
Lines can be purchased in the clubhouse or through chief seller Oliver Doherty.
