Finn Harps remain uncertain as to whether Pascal Millien will be able to play a part in Friday night’s game against Shamrock Rovers at Finn Park.

The Haitian international was signed by Harps in March, but a delay in a work permit being processed meany that Harps have had to wait.

Millien, whose last club was Fort Lauderdale Strikers in Florida State, has received his work permit after a protracted of time that included over 100 emails between Harps and various agencies.

Millien’s registration is now in the process of going through FIFA’s Transfer Matching System.

“I can’t answer if he’ll be ready for Friday,” Harps manager Ollie Horgan said.

“We have the work permit, but it will be touch and go if he is cleared to play on Friday.”

Millien previously played in the League of Ireland with Sligo Rovers and won both a League title and FAI Cup with the Bit O’Red.

Horgan said: “Pascal hasn’t played a competitive game in seven or eight months now. The delay has been more frustrating for Pascal than it has for anyone. It has been difficult for him but hopefully we will get the go-ahead.”

Horgan is awaiting confirmation from the FAI’s Disciplinary Controls Unit (DCU), but anticipates that he will have some suspensions to deal with on Friday night.
