Rosses AC’s Joe Joyce was on fire in the M75 section of the Irish Masters in Tullamore and the Ulster Senior Masters in Belfast in the last two weekends.

In Tullamore, Joe produced the first gold medal of the day for the club in the weight for distance with a fine throw of 6.86m to earn himself the Irish title.

He later followed up with a gold medal in the shot, with a throw of 7.76m and later in the day picked up two silver All Ireland medals in the Javelin 13.29m and discus 18.88m.

Joyce once again put Dungloe on the athletics map, securing 3 Gold and a Bronze at the Ulster Senior Masters Athletic Meet at the Mary Peters Stadium in Belfast last Saturday.

Joe took first place in the Shot Putt, Weight for Distance and the Javelin.

His throw in the Discus competition earned him a bronze medal.
