BBQ time! Hot and sunny day ahead

Today is the day to head to the beach, walk in the park or dust off the barbeque as the summer sun shines on Donegal.

Temperatures are expected to rise and the rain is staying away for the day, so make the most of the good weather.

Donegal is set to have highs of 20 degrees this Wednesday, with clear blue skies and light breezes. It will remain warm into the evening.

Pollen counts are high today during this favourable weather.

This glimpse of summer may not stay completely dry all week, however, as light rain is expected in Donegal on Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will remain a pleasant 15-18 degrees tomorrow.

We are in for a mild and humid weekend, according to Met Eireann. Saturday and Sunday will be dry, warm and sunny. Top temperatures of 23 degrees are in store, with just a small chance of light rain in the north of Ireland.

That BBQ might be put to good use this week after all!
