John Kelly makes his exit from European Under-23s

Finn Valley AC man John Kelly has made his exit from the European Under-23 Athletics Championships.

Kelly threw 16.10metres in the shot putt qualifiers earlier today at Bydgoszcz Stadium.

The St Johnston man was unable to get into the top 12 and fouled on his first two efforts.

Kelly went to Poland on the back of a good run of form, but couldn’t advance from the qualifiers.

Donegal town man Karl Griffin, now with UCD AC, will compete in the 4x400m relay on Sunday.
