Donegal death notices – Rest In Peace

The following are the death notices for today, Wednesday, July 26th, 2017.

 

Margaret MCMENAMIN

Meenagolan, Cloghan.

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital, Letterkenny, of Margaret (Maggie) McMenamin. Her Remains will repose at her home from 6 o’clock today Wednesday. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Charlie, daughter Josephine, sons Robert, Peter and Cathal and family circle. May She rest in peace.

Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock on Friday in St. Colmcille’s Chapel, Fintown, with burial afterwards in local Cemetery

Family time please from 10 pm till 11 am.

 

Patrick HARKIN

Harkin, Patrick, 25th July 2017, (St. James’s Road, Greenhills and formerly of Moville, Donegal) (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family at Peamount Hospital; beloved husband of Pauline and loving dad of Carmel, Monica and Felim. Sadly missed by his loving wife, children, sons-in-law, Enda and Tilman, grandchildren Daragh, Oisín, Conn, Fiachra and Leon, sister Mary, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11.30am in Church of the Holy Spirit, Greenhills and afterward to Newlands Cross Cemetery.

 

Danny (Big D) BONNER

The death has occurred in Sligo Hospital of Danny (Big D) Bonner, Glenahilt, Burtonport. Reposing at his home. Funeral Mass on Thursday, 27th July, at 11 o’clock in St. Columba’s Church, Acres with interment afterwards in Belcruit Cemetery. Enquiries to Shaun Mc Glynn Funeral Director, Dungloe.

 

Robert, Arthur SCOTT

Scott, Robin, Ballyscanlon, Kilmacrennan, Co.Donegal , July 25th, 2017, peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Gretta, and loving father of Mark, Ivan, Trevor and Jennifer, much loved grandfather of Lauren, Corey, Elaina, Lily, Cassie. Deeply regretted by his family, brothers, sisters, daughters in law, son in law, relatives and friends.

Funeral from his home on Thursday 27th July at 1.15pm going to Kilmacrennan, Church of Ireland, for service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time from 11pm to 11am . Family flowers only please . Donations if desired to Donegal hospice c/o Sweeney Funeral Directors or any family member.

 

Sr. Berchmans MALONEY

St Joseph’s Convent of Mercy, Strabane, Tyrone / Buncrana, Donegal

The death has taken placeat Melmount Manor, Strabane of Sr. Berchmans Maloney, St Joseph’s Convent of Mercy, Newtownkennedy Street, Strabane and formerly of the Convent of Mercy, Buncrana.

Beloved sister of Sr. Carmel, Sr. Miriam and the late Ignatius and Nuala.

Reposing at St Joseph’s Convent of Mercy, Newtownkennedy Street, Funeral leaving St Joseph’s on Thursday (July 27th) at 11.35a.m.for Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strabane at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Cockhill, Buncrana.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sisters, sister-in-law Maureen, nieces, nephews, extended family circle, the Sisters of Mercy, Strabane and the Sisters of the Northern Province.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
