Welcome to this week’s Castle Grove blog for Donegal Daily where we keep you up to date with the exciting events happening at Castle Grove throughout the Summer.

This week we are proud to be participating in Off the Street Food Festival in Letterkenny, and contribute our part to develop Donegal’s food scene – see details here.

We will be there tomorrow with our Signature Afternoon boxes to give you a sample of Afternoon Tea at Castle Grove – perfectly packed to eat at the festival or to take home for a sweet treat with your cup of tea later.

If you fancy arranging an afternoon tea with your friends, family or special occasion, here are the details:

Afternoon Tea at Castle Grove is a relaxed and intimate event, where you and your guests enjoy the peace tranquillity of Castle Grove in the elegant Drawing Rooms, while being served by our friendly staff.

First course, a delicious selection of homemade finger sandwiches and wraps, smoked salmon on brown bread and cream cheese and cucumber.

Next course, freshly baked scones with strawberry jam and whipped cream.

Followed by a selection of homemade miniature desserts and pastries.

Limitless tea or freshly brewed coffee.

All of this served using Mary T’s china to add to the elegance of traditional Afternoon Tea.

And of course you can always add champagne to make it that little extra special.

Castle Grove serves afternoon tea from 1pm-4pm daily with booking 24hrs in advance required.

Summer is our busiest season with tourists travelling to Donegal to visit all the spectacular attractions such as Glenveagh National Park, Slieve League and all the beautiful beaches on the Wild Atlantic Way.

As a proud Donegal family business, we are passionate about making Donegal a must – stop on the map and encouraging tourists to go North from Shannon, not just around the Ring of Kerry (not that we don’t love Kerry).

Following on from our Donegal Food Coast Strawberry Festival, we will be in Letterkenny supporting Off The Street LK, organized by the great Letterkenny food ambassadors, Derek Walker of Letterkenny Artisan Market and Chef Chris Molloy, The Lemon Tree.
