It’s four out of four for McGuinness in China as Beijing Sinobo Guoan win again

Jim McGuinness’s Beijing Sinobo Guoan made it four wins from four this evening, continuing their superb run under the new management.

A brace of goals by Jonathan Soriano gave Beijing a 2-0 away win against Henan Jianye at the Zhengzhou Hangai Stadium.

Soriano gave Beijing the lead in the 44th minute and secured the win through a 58th minute penalty.

Beijing Sinobo Guoan have now won all four games since the installation of former Bayer Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt, who recruited ex-Donegal boss McGuinness as his number two.

McGuinness, who had been in a role as a performance consultant with Celtic FC in Glasgow, made the move and has enjoyed an excellent start, Beijing having conceded just one goal in the four games.
