Ollie Horgan has three injury concerns as Finn Harps prepare to welcome Galway United to Finn Park for a crunch relegation clash tomorrow night.
Harps, currently four points above the drop zone, can give their survival chances a real shot in the arm with a win over the Tribesmen, who are second from bottom, five points behind Harps, who have a game in hand.
Shane Keegan took over Galway this season having previously been Horgan’s rival when he was the Wexford Youths manager.
Galway came from behind to draw at Finn Park in March and struck two late goals to win 2-1 at Eamonn Deacy Park in late May.
Harps, who overcame Bray Wanderers 3-2 last Friday, are fretting over the fitness of Paddy McCourt (hip), Kilian Cantwell (knee) and Barry Molloy (ankle).
“They drew with us in Finn Park back in March when they played us off the park in the second half,” Horgan said.
“Most people would agree that Galway have been best footballing side that we have played at home all season.
“Just like ourselves Galway need to win tomorrow night.
“They have a huge threat going forward with the likes of Gavin Holohan and Ronan Murray and with the experience that the likes of David Cawley brings in the middle of the park we will need to be at our very best to get a win against them.”
Galway lost the experience of Vinny Faherty – who netted the winner against Harps in Galway – who signed for Sligo Rovers this week.
