FOR THE FIRST time in five since their new management team was put in place, Beijing Sinobo Guoan were held yesterday in the Chinese Super League.

However, since former Donegal manager Jim McGuinness came in to assist former Bayer Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt the unbeaten run remains. Yesterday’s result was a 2-2 with Shandong Luneng Taishan in the Workers’ Stadium as former Southampton and Italy forward Graziano Pelle opened the scoring.

However, Beijing Sinobo Guoan  then went 2-1 up through goals from Ba Dun and then Li Lei before Papiss Cisse -formerly of Newcastle United – making it 2-2 in first half injury time.  Beijing Sinobo Guoan are currently sixth in the Chinese Super League table.
