Elton John has paid the ultimate compliment on international radio to singer John Doherty of Killybegs band Little Hours.
Elton heaped great praise on air to John when he said, “This guy has the best voice”, and played a track by the band.
Elton added Little Hours’ new single How Could I Love You? to his Rocket Hour playlist this week on Beats 1 Radio, which is broadcast all over the world via Apple Music.
Little Hours are a Donegal soft-rock duo made up of John Doherty on piano / vocals and Ryan Mc Closkey on guitar / backing vocals. They formed in 2014 and are hailed as a hugely popular product of the Donegal music scene.
The band were clearly delighted to get this seal of approval from the music legend. Posting on Facebook, John thanked Elton for the shout-out:
