Bundoran overcame Dungloe with a hard fought victory in Gaelic Park and boosted their continued fight for Division One survival in the process.

Realt na Mara 0-13 Dungloe 2-4
By Noel Carr, PRO
Although the home side outscored the visitors by 13 scores to six, only a kick of a ball separated the sides when Connie Doherty’s whistle sounded to bring this game to a conclusion.
Danny Rodgers opened the scoring from a free before Paul Brennan levelled matters with a sweet sliced effort .The home team increased their advantage with points from a Gary Clancy free and a Tommy Hourihane point before a well taken Christy Greene score left one between the sides.
Then on 14 minutes, Ryan Greene did excellently to win possession between 2 Bundoran defenders to turn and calmly finish to the net.The Seasiders were guilty of several poor misses throughout the half but they did eventually draw level with the last three scores of the half from Michael McEniff, Gary Clancy and the score of the match from Paul Murphy following a fantastic run from deep by Peter Mc Gonigle and Paul  Brennan.
Halftime Realt na Mara 0-6  Dungloe 1-2
Bundoran, who lined out without Jamie Brennan due to illness, found themselves in arrears once again at the beginning of the second half when the livewire Greene hit his second goal.
Frees from Hourihane and Rodgers left two between the sides on 42minutes. Substitute Alan Russell and another Clancy free drew the sides level midway through the second half.
An  incisive  run by Cian McEniff on 48minutes saw his shot cannon off the crossbar to safety and seconds later  county U-21 keeper Rodgers found the target again with another long  range effort but unfortunately for his side it  was to be Dungloe’s final score of the game .The home side finished strongly with corner back Matthew Ward pointing and another Clancy free edging the men in black and amber back ahead once again. Two further points from Russell and Clancy secured the victory for the home team and wit it two valuable league points in their quest to survive in Division One.
