Glenswilly see off Milford and return to Championship in fine fettle

Glenswilly go into a huge Championship tussle with Gaoth Dobhair next Sunday in menacing form after a good League win at home to Milford.

Glenswilly 0-18 Milford 1-12

The win for Aidy Glackin’s men draws them level points with the Moyle View outfit.

Ciaran Bonner bagged six points for Glenswilly as the reigning county champions flexed their muscles.

The teams were tit-for-tat for much of the first half before Gary McFadden, Michael Murphy and Kealan McFadden landed scores to give Glenswilly a 0-8 to 0-5 interval lead.

Bonner was on song in the second half and hoofed over three quickf-ire points as Glenswilly took a strong grip of the contest.

When Leon Kelly, again showing up well in the engine room, landed a brilliant point it was a double-score lead for Glenswilly.

Milford got a last-gasp goal from Darragh Black, but Glenswilly go to Magheragallon looking firmly in the mood.
