Finn Harps Under-17s scored a big derby win over Derry City at Wilton Park this afternoon.

Derry City 0 Finn Harps 4

It has been a very encouraging season for Declan Boyle’s team and they head into next weekend’s home game with Shelbourne on the back of a super win over the Candystripes.

Harps hit the front when Niall McGinley netted a screamer.

McGinley, from the left-hand edge of the penalty area, curled a wonderful shot into the top corner past the helpless Derry ‘keeper.

Keelan McGill doubled the lead when he headed home and it was 2-0 at half-time.

Adam Duffy broke through to extend the lead and Corrie Lee Bogan found the bottom corner with a clever effort from 20 yards.

The win keeps Harps’ charge for a top four spot alive and well.
