Listen: Darragh Black on how Milford are like ‘caged animals’ this year

Darragh Black says that Milford came into 2017 liked ‘caged animals’ after the hurt of last year.

An Intermediate final replay loss to Burt stung hard around Moyle View last winter – and Milford are looking to make amends.

Milford defeated Cloughaneely in a quarter-final to return to the semis again.

“It was a long, long winter,” Black says.

“We took it bad and there were a lot of disappointed heads. We just had to put it right. We’re back here trying to make a wrong right – we want to be Intermediate champions.

“We peaked a wee bit too early last year, but this year we’ve been caged animals. We came here ready to go to war and ready to put in a big performance.”
