Finn Valley cruiserweight Michael Gallagher made a fine start to his professional career last night with a third round stoppage of Mateusz Rybarski at the National Stadium.
Gallagher was on top from start to finish of a contest in which he showcased his supreme power.
Gallagher had Rybarski rattled on a few occasions before the referee stepped in to wave off the fight and give Gallagher his first pro win.
The Kinletter man has signed up with Leonard Gunning of Boxing Ireland and is trained by Conor Quigley.
At the Celtic Clash 3 bill in Dublin, Gallagher – who scooped eleven Irish titles at the venue in his amateur days – was dominant all the way.
